Even some from the same hen, but fathered by a different non cemani rooster had a 90% hatch rate vs. the less than 10% these had. I am looking to test breed my Cemani flock to establish single or double Fibro status of individuals before adding them to a selective breeding program. I will have available buff Orpingtons, lav Orpingtons, buff Bramas, Delawares, BBS Ameraucanas, and Rhode Island Reds, from each sex for this endeavor.

The Ayam Cemani chicken breed is not among the large fowls. They are medium-sized birds. These breeds roosters weigh around 4.5 to 6.5 lbs, while the female chicken weighs between 3.5 to 4.5 lbs when fully grown. The bird has a medium-sized physique that is thin, firm, and muscular. As far as Ayam Cemani chicken eggs are concerned, the hens are not huge egg layers either, producing around 60-80 eggs in a year compared to other chicken breeds, some of which can lay around 230 in a year. The eggs are creamy colored, sometimes having a slight pinkish tinge to them — the weight is around 2 to 3 kg. If you cross an Ayam cemani and a white Silkie, you would retain much of the black tissue, and the resulting black birds would carry 2 recessive genes, white and silkied. By crossing those F1's, you would get a whole range of birds, some white non-silkied and some black silkied.
